The European partnership Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS) launches its second transnational call “Innovate to prevent: Personalised Prevention in Health and Care Services”. Forte will support Swedish granted projects with approximately SEK 15 million, during the years 2025–2027.

The European partnership on Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS) has been established as a European Joint Program partnership co-funded from the European Commission. The aim of THCS is to coordinate and optimize research and innovation efforts in Europe and its partners countries supporting health and care systems transformation.
The call is a collaboration between 21 countries and the European Commission. Each country finances its own partners in the international consortia. Each consortium must consist of partners from at least three different countries participating in the call.
Swedish participation is made possible through a collaboration between Forte and Vinnova.
Scope of the call
This call aims to support the implementation of innovative person-centred health and care models addressing prevention strategies, with the key help of existing IT and digital technologies and services. The ultimate goal is to improve health and care system dimensions such as quality, efficiency, equity, and sustainability. Improving the quality of preventive services will lead to improving the quality of life of citizens and patients, as well as reducing the burden and costs for the entirety of health and care services.
Grant type
Project grants. The minimum project duration is 12 months and maximum duration of projects are 36 months.
Budget
For this call, Forte has a budget of approximately SEK 15 million.

Application
The Intent to Apply and the Proposal must be submitted through THCS online submission platform. Further details of the research topics and how to apply can be found in the call text on the THCS website.
Deadline to register the submission of intent to apply was 16 April, 14.00 CET. If the intent to apply was accepted, a full proposal should have be submitted by 21 May, 14.00 CET.
After the application has been submitted to THCS, the same application must also be submitted to Forte in Prisma. Instructions for the Prisma application form are published above.
